  • To mount or to enclose on floor?

GSF members, my dimensions are 8.5 H x 13 W x 14 D, and i'm about to build out a screen and i don't know if it's best to mount it or build an enclosure on the floor. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

With the limited height, maybe mount the top directly to the ceiling and then attach it to a pole on both sides that is mounted to the floor and ceiling. You can use the foot pad 1" emt connector in the link below.

I would mount slotted angle iron to the ceiling and walls.

It depends on how wide you are trying to go with the screen. As mentioned above, regardless of width, mount slotted angle iron to ceiling so you can get it as tall as possible. Then you can either use the same angle iron on the side walls or use EMT on the sides going from floor to ceiling. To mount the emt, you would need something like the foot pad on the floor and ceiling.
