Anyone have any success/failure with buying a discounted remnant? Pricing looks good, but my concern is with the “all sales final”.

Bought 1 2 years ago still looks good bought the standard have my old screen behind. Looks as good as my HD tv -
I bought a premium clearance screen. It's been great. There was one small hole in it. No big deal.
I would buy it again except I bought a dbgolf one for back up.Comment

I’m hoping for a dbgolf one as well. Just worried how much is still available, how long a wait it would be, etc. hoping to be up and running by end of October and not sure the timeline will work for a direct from mill. Thanks for sharing your experiences!Comment

Dbgolf has the material he just needs to cut and send last I checked. I have it. Material looks just as good as my premium. Maybe just a bit more off white vs Carl's premium. Price difference is big.Comment

Price difference is big, you are right. Just worried about turnaround time on Dbgolf. Seems like it is a rather large undertaking and certainly not his full-time gig and that may mean some folks end up needing to wait until he gets around to it. Hopefully he logs in soon and provides an update. Doesn't appear that he has been on for about a week.Comment

I have done the same as Wizard of Coz .. purchased their clearance premium last year .. looked brand new when I got it was not able to find any previous ball marks or anything wrong with it! I also ordered a direct from the mill for back up.. the extra time is worth it in my opinion (cost half of the Carls screen on clearance pricing).Comment

Wizard of Coz I’ve purchased all three of Carl’s screen models this way. I have the premium now like wiz. I think it had a mark or two. That you had to find with a csi kit.
i would buy a backup the last time I did that. It sat in a box for a year and then I eventually sold it.Comment
