  • angle at bottom of screen?

Maybe I am missing something but are people generally opposed to connecting the bottom of the screen in the same manner as the sides and top (bungees/angle etc.) because it is too difficult to do or fear of the dreaded bounce back if you blade one? I think that four sides of adjustable bungees and angle would allow the easiest all around adjustments needed to pull out any seams in the screen. My set up is golf only and not television viewing. I have a built up floor that would allow me to attach the angle and straps below the floor level. This would be a clean and tidy look. What am I missing?

    Thanks!

Glad it works for you, if I attach mine to the floor it bounces balls back at me like a trampoline even without blading one.. I leave the bottom hanging loose to absorb some of the kinetic energy.

I have memory foam behind mind and I love the screen pulled tight. However I've yet to find tarp clips that can hold up to my driver swings. They just break from the force; i don't hit them directly.

Maybe another backing to the screen would help. Also a function of how close you are hitting and how tight the screen is pulled. I have a net, then an old screen, then my current screen and have had some high ball speed players play with no issue. A lot of trial and error to find what works for you though.

I'd say give it a go. My screen is currently flush with the floor and I built a frame that the screen wraps under and then attaches to the clips and bungies. So, it's connected horizontally vs vertically. I'm using the direct from the mill material which I think is the same or similar to SQ stuff. The material will pucker at impact but bounce back is minimal. I use the screen for movies so having it flat is important for me. I plan to recess this as my floor is built up with the TP Link panels but it's a major project to change all that.

I don't think many people have tried this because they just don't have the raised floor to make this possible. I haven't proved that it will work but I don't see why not. Worse case is you can run a pole across the floor and run the screen under it and connect the clips and bungies like I have mine. I know that works.

If you have a built up floor, bottom attachment is the way to go - as long as any metal angles and solid attachment points aren't in the line of fire. Basically if they are below the floor level, you are fine!
