Here is my build using a 16' SportScreen and a 16'x10' impact screen from dbgolf72. It is a little bit different than some others I have seen on here and has been a work in progress since September. I finally have the top netting pulled tight above the screen using angle iron / zipties. A high spinning wedge shot will no longer go over the net to come flying back at me and the electronics. There were a few near misses.
I have an area roughly 24' wide x 20' deep in front of the stairs and a 14' ceiling. The garage continues to be used for cars so I had to be able to move everything completely out of the way every time I was done golfing. It takes 5-10 minutes to set up and about 5 minutes to put it all away. I left 20" between the stairs and screen. 4" would have been too close and I wanted to make sure the 2x4s holding it all up were screwed directly into a stud. The side netting has not been hit but it makes me less concerned about breaking a window when I shank one.
Projector is 4500 lumen InFocus IN2138HD and my garage door faces west. The screen gets a little washed out in the afternoon on sunny days but still visible. Eventually I plan to put something up to cover garage door windows. Most of the time I either play in the morning or late at night so it has not been a priority.
