What kind of padding are you using to prevent ricochets from hitting the back corners?

No it doesn't. It did nothing but make it look nicer. You could check out pool cove for the corners, it's cut out on the back side so should go up nicely against a pole and angled so maybe at least deflect the shot at worse. I haven't used it, but i'm assuming it's much more dense since it's designed for water to sit on top of it.

I've used the padding in the link and it doesn't really do much if you hit the EMT dead on. I've had balls ricochet back across the garage faster than I ever imagined, even when they hit the foam padding, but it does make it look nicer...Comment

I just put together mine and used that padding from Home Depot. Does some but not a ton. But totally agree it gives it a much more finished look, worth the effort and few bucks.Comment

You can use roll cage padding designed for race cars. It is a lot more dense and has been designed to attenuate impacts like when your crash helmet attempts to knock the roll cage tubing loose during a crash. It is not cheap compared to the pipe insulation stuff you get from places like home depot.Comment

I’ll have to look into that roll pad as an option. Really I would think something like a wedge shape hard foam just to deflect the ball toward the screen or side curtain would work.
It wouldn’t have to be much higher than 5ft as a guess. I use those foam puzzle mats as a mini ramp for the lower bar and it works great for that purpose.
I saw Carl’s offers something for their pro enclosure, gonna reach out and see what they use or if they sell those for diy kits..Comment
