  • Buffer space required on top and sides of enclosure

I'm attempting to maximize my enclosure size but I want to leave enough room to ensure stay balls don't hit my walls or ceiling, does anyone have a recommended min space to leave on the sides and top of the enclosure? Room is 11ft 4in wide by 10ft 6in high. I'm debating not cutting the bars for the width so it would be 10ft 3in wide (6.5in on each side) and going with 10ft high (5in space above once I add 1in flooring). Is this enough of a buffer on the top and sides or should I leave more room to ensure balls don't make it to the walls/ceiling?

    Thanks!

I would go with at least 1ft on all sides, maybe a little more back offset to the screen itself. 9ft to the top of the enclosure is plenty, mine is 8ft high and I rarely ever contact the top even near the screen. Only issue might be if you plan to hit from insanely far back. Absolutely no need to be 8ft+ back from the cage.
