  • Raw screen material

We have only raw screen material. We may be able to finish the material as well soon. This project started as a thread called Direct from the Mill where together with suggestions from the community we designed the highest quality material and organized a group buy in order to reduce cost for everyone. At the time good quality screens were hard to find and being sold at outrageous prices. I haven't signed on in a while but I'm happy to see there are more options and more competitive pricing now. This is a direct result of our group buy and although the community will be the best to judge from what I can see there is still no other better deal for material of this quality anywhere. We still provide and have been providing material to anyone who e-mails us. Recently, as demand for our material has increased so has the workload and in response we have created a team to process orders faster and reduce lead time. This team can be contacted at fabric@worldmarkettrading.com and feel free to continue contacting me at dbgolf72@yahoo.com. For reference please see pricing which includes delivery to anywhere in the continental US.

Just in way of follow-up I never did hear anything back after emailing both addresses on Oct 26 and Oct 31. I will be going to try to find another source. Sounded like a great deal but does not seem to be still active.

No response after 2 emails and a couple weeks. Guess I will have to go in a different direction.

That is odd and unfortunate. Based upon their paypal handle and the account they use for shipping I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were harvesting currently and spent 14 hours per day in a combine.

Never got a reply to any of my emails. I ended up going with golfsimulatorsite and have been happy with the material after hitting into it for a month.

Thanks for letting us know a timeline. Are you able to confirm if prices will be raised a significant amount? I want to wait until January for your material, but might go a different direction if prices have increased dramatically (aka doubled). I appreciate your help.

        No dramatic changes in price.

I hope you guys had a wonderful holidays, or perhaps still on holiday vacation. I'm just dropping by to add that I have emailed you for query on 10x10 (still debating if I should just go with 10x12 and leave room to go bigger if my boss lets me convert the livingroom someday instead of the far corner of the house). I can't wait to hear back and thank you in advance.

Moving on to the question. To those of you who has this or any other 3 layer screens, how's the quality of the projected image? I know the brightness of the projector can make a lot of difference but I'm split on either getting a 1080p or native 4k because the 'boss' is now telling me that she wants to also use it as a mediaroom. The size of the wall allows for 100+ inch projection and I'm not too keen on going that big with only 1080p but just not sure if the impact screen is good enough for making difference in 4k resolution and appear washed out just as same. Am I correct to assume that the projecting to a high quality impact screen is like projecting to a normal painted wall without the proper screen? I've tried to look at photos and videos but they can never capture the actual color or visual quality through a camera. They all appear washed out...

Also, has anyone used those LED projectors on this screen? Wondering if the impact screens need lot of light compared to the normal screen.

Well, in that case 10x10 would be okay since you can turn it 90 degrees. If what I'm hearing about these screen is correct, it shouldn't make much dent after 2 yrs of use.

Rotating a square screen only works if you’re hitting offset.

And that is exactly what I have to be doing with my setup... Regardless, I have not received any response from them. I have no idea when or if they will ever at this point. I get that they are working on new material or whatnot but it's hard to just sit and wait when the wife's mood can change any day. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere and pay a lot more...

Yes Carl's premium is a bit more white than dbgolf. Dbgolf is more like Carl's premium than Carl's preferred.

What are you hoping to see from a picture? I have a Carl's Premium I've used for couple years now.

Was hoping to see if there was some clarity differences between them.

I see people mentioning dbgolf's screen is less white than Carl's, how much are we talking? like full off white or a slight tint? Will this impact clarity of 4K on the screen? Brightness of colors and contrast? Looking at Carl's Premium, Bullseye and dbgolfs but love the good reviews here.
