  • Gungho advanced DIY enclosure kit?

I see a number of posts about Carl's enclosure and a few about Bullseye golf, but not much about the Gungho golf enclosure. Anybody have any experience with it? The video they put on Youtube (here) showing it looks interesting to me, and I did a call with them a while back to get a quote, but I'd love some real-world testimonials if anyone has used it or can compare to the other popular options.

Looking to buy something soon, likely in the 16' x 9' range. Guessing it's too much to hope for a black friday deal on an enclosure, but mostly just trying to get a sense of the benefits of some of the higher end DIY options and can't find much about the Gungho one. Anyone tried one?

I built two. The blueprint is very easy to follow. Looks great too one doubles as the entertainment center in my basement.

Thanks. I've been looking around and then called Carl's today and realized they'll only do the size I'm looking for (16' x 9') in the "Pro" enclosure, which uses the 2" EMT because they say enclosures bigger than the 13' they offer in the DIY 1" EMT version can sag in the middle. Anyone have experience with doing a larger setup like this with 1" EMT?

At 16' wide 1" EMT will sag. However you can mitigate it with supports that attach to the ceiling or to a wall behind. This can be done a variety of ways. Also you will need to insert dowels in the EMT where you are joining to give the joins support.

Great, thanks. I have plenty of flexibility to support above and/or use dowels.

I have a 12’x9’ Gungho in my garage. Setup was super simple and it looks great. I don’t have experience with the others to compare but I am really happy with it. If you go with them, ask them to include some extra tarp clips. I’ve hit the ones along the bottom with some bad thins and they’ve shattered.

Thanks for the review. I think I'm down to either Gungho or Bullseye by default because Carl's won't go 16'x9' unless you do the pro version, which is significantly more expensive, and would require me to buy all new 2" EMT. I've got most of the 1" EMT I'd need already from a prior outdoor hitting net I had setup.

My experience wit Bullseye screen was very positive. I also use the Holy Grail hitting strip from GungHo which I do like very much as well.

I used the Gungoho blueprint to build my enclosure and couldn't be happier. I bought my connectors from Tarps.com and the Chicago Canvas and it all came together flawlessly.

Sounds like both are good options. Appreciate the feedback.
