Sim enclosure ceiling

Hi all,
I plan to start my build out in the next few weeks (using gc2 as sim).
I have settled on pretty much all aspects of the build, but I am somewhat lost on what to do with the ceiling, specifically nearest the screen.

I have seen netting hung to catch high loft shots as well as fabric hung accordion style to serve the same purpose.

With the latter, what is used as the fabric and how is it hung? Any better ideas out there? What about foam pads covered in fabric or carpet tiles?

aja, I like your baffle system. So these baffles are made out of styrophone and hang downward with exposed ceiling between the individual components. Thus, unless you hit ball perpendicular to ceiling, they are defected by baffles? Has a ball ever rebounded off one of them and hit ceiling? Thanks.

Hi! I've hit the baffles quite a few times but they are close enough that if one baffle moves far enough from the impact, it bumps up against the next baffle and closes down the opening between them. No rebounds hitting the ceiling, their tendency is to deflect balls down into the impact screen.

What are all of your thoughts on using padding squares on the ceiling like those found in gymnasiums, athletic clubs.. etc.?

I could screw to the ceiling. Might look better than the netting and perhaps offer a little more durability and absorbency compared to osb and carpet tile?

Did you end up using gym pads? I'm also considered It. I need to cover up some concrete walls.

This is my simulator it's still under construction. The only issue I have now is the wedge or errant shot that hits the frame piping. I have just under 9'. Durability is fine with carpet and it is used in commercial set-ups. Most shots are directed into the screen. I may build a 45 degree angled 4 " border around the screen. I'm still testing and using a lot of the ideas that have been posted here.

The first picture I used netting and it was totally portable. I added the panels and left one side netting, but I 'm probably going to frame in the other side and add theater curtains for a finished look. I hit a lot of balls everyday and we have been watching movies every night. I went and looked at as many commercial simulators as I could. I took pictures and asked a lot of questions. All of the people were very helpful. This works great for me.
