Anyone tried the 9oz Supertex Screens? They are for sale on ebay and amazon I just cant find a single review. I am wanting a screen with hemmed pockets top and bottom not grommets like these. I am looking for 10ft by 9 ft size and at right at 200$ shipped it seems like a pretty good deal. I am not going to be watching movies on it as I have a dedicated theater also, this is strictly for stoping golf balls and showing a decent simulator image.

Yea I made sure to do the same with tightening my net more for the supertex after the HQ finally got a hole in it as i never really paid attention to the net too much with that screen. But still managed to get the hole quickly. Starting to think I just might need a heavier duty screen now.Originally posted by Tonyd9366 View PostI just have a net behind my screen. but the net behind is tight and the screen is looser. so most of the hit is taken by the net not the screen.
My dad give me the idea though to get that tighter weave archery netting and he also found one of those heavy duty 2 sided thick screens that go brand new for like $900+ for relatively cheap (with possible defects like light staining or creases or whatever). Emailed them to make sure the "defects" didn't include actual tears or rips as that is obviously a deal breaker. But the rest of the defects wouldn't bother me too much, and if it did I could always just buy a cheaper white sheet or something to put over it as I have when I get holes in my current screens.
Hopefully it works out and with 2 nets and this thicker screen I can finally get a set up to break that elusive year mark for me.
Also one of the commercial places Ive went to that has about golf sims. I checked their screens and they literally just have that tight weave archery netting in the back and a thin......almost feels like a slightly stretchy bed sheet in front of it. The picture looks great and very quiet. Just wish I knew what material this stretchy sheet screen was. Don't know if it was an official about golf screen set up or just something the owners there put together. I know I don't have any pictures (or even a great description haha) but if anyone out there has come across a material similar to what im describing Id love to know what it was

Does anyone have any contact info for the folks that sell the supertex screen? I have tried the phone number for them on their site (336) 342-5592 for two days and no one ever answers. I am missing the screen as the last step of my build and have tried to contact them with questions. Any suggestions of a direct contact line? ThanksLast edited by Ericft; 01-10-2017, 05:43 PM.

I have emailed them through ebay, replied to one he sent me, sent a second contact request from the website...they must be blocking me somehow! I ended up just buying something on ebay hoping that it works. Kinda disappointed in the lack of response and service especially since so many folks are buying their screen you would assume they would be more proactive.

agreed, I would get another one and find something to treat your target areas with. i bet that stuff used to fix roof leaks would work and it comes in white. could basically rubberize a target square on the fabric. looks like you have a good test subject.

Quit giving me PTSD! I remember this all too well haha.Originally posted by wbond View Post
They did send me a new one though as mine busted after only like 5 or 6 months of use. Wasnt expecting it either, a new one just showed up at my door randomly like a month or so after I questioned them about it. The kicker is they never said they were gonna send another one. After some back and forth suggestions on net placement and all behind it, they finally just suggested for me to try the other material they had and asked if I wanted to purchase that one. I said I was going to go another route this time but appreciated the offer, and that was the last of our convo. And the one they sent me was the same one I had before, not the other material. So who knows......Still not sure it was a mistake or not (checked my credit card and it wasnt charged), Im guessing they purposely sent me it and I was very appreciative they did. Have it in the box now just chilling as I already received my carl's premium shortly after I got the holes in the supertex.
But glad I have it as a backup now or as a nice gift if my old man ever finally builds his simulator out.

I'm on the list to get the other one direct from the mill so we will see. I wonder about the rubber stuff, that's a good idea. If i were to do it again, i would just order the supertex at a wider length and keep moving it over every year. You really can't beat the price.
