  • Holes in top of net

My CCE stance/hitting mat is just far enough away from my screen that my 50, 54, and 58 degree wedges go above the back cross bar and first make contact with the ceiling of the net enclosure. I purchased the net and baffle combo from eBay. The baffle helps with protection behind the screen. However, I don't get that benefit with my wedges. I've noticed three holes have been made and are starting to grow where my wedges strike the net. They are all up around the crossbar.

Has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas of how to fix it?

If I understand correctly the shots hitting the netting that forms the ceiling are making holes in the netting - correct?

If that's the case, the net is pretty suspect. A good golf cage should have netting that a golf ball doesn't go through after, what sounds like, a few hits.

Pictures of the set-up and the problem areas would be a help.

i have the same problem with my setup. i use some cheap mesh tarp from harbor freight for my top netting and side curtains. i threw some scrap foam up there but i'm sure an old blanket or two could serve the same purpose.
