I'm thinking the memory foam immediately behind it is the cause of the quick wearing...

I agree and I took your suggestion and just put the new screen in front of the protee screen. Works great. Thank you for the help.

Just to be sure I understand correctly, you now have the two screen materials against each other?

Why would a prov1 damage a screen over every other ball?

LipOut , Yes, I actually have a tarp in the back bungied to metal pipes, Then the protee screen hanging in front of that held by bungies. Then the HQ2 material in front. they are all touching each other. They are held just tight enough to keep wrinkles out. I got rid of the memory foam but kept the tarp that was holding it up against the back of the screen. As mthunt says, the memory foam probably caused the tearing of my screen.

I really cannot imagine having a better setup. I used the raw material and just doubled over the edges and used the EasyKlips with small bungies. The "Klips" are only .99 cents each so I used one every 18 inches on top and every 2-3 feet on the sides. It is top notch quality without custom pricing or needing to sew edges or place grommets.

I hung my net and HQ2 screen tonight in the same manner boerdoc described. Here are a few pictures, I'm going to have to find a way to make it quieter as it is now as loud as the impact of the ball on the club.

Following my post of 5/22 and boerdoc's advice, I hung a canvas tarp and some ballistic nylon fabric I had directly behind my impact screen. Works much better - bounce-back is 3 to 4 feet vs 10ft or more when I had the impact screen alone. I also think its quieter but I'll have to get some input from friends. Thanks boerdoc!

They cut very easily. I have noticed they cut after the first hit. As you can imagine the small nicks in the ball act like little razorblades at 3,000 RPM's.
