  • Ok, I need help here with screen size!!!!!!

So I'm going to purchase a Dura-Pro 10x10x10 cage netting and cut the length down to about 5' instead of the 10... What size screen should I get to go inside this cage? Should I go 10x10 or do I need to leave some room around to tie it in? Maybe 9'x9'6 or so? Also, I'm going to buy an Optima 1080Gt and its say at 6'8 distance it can throw a 90X120 pic... Should I just buy a screen that size?? I'm confused....

I did the same. Bought a 10x10x10 cage and left half of the pipes out length wise. Instead of cutting the net I just rolled it up. I just bought a 10' wide impact screen for it. http://youtu.be/ZWNkiVwbQ-Y here is a video of a round where you can see most part of the screen. Unfortunately I have no pics with me right now.

Dude, may I suggest you take a look at these guys

The cost will be about the same and they offer black wrapper for the enclosure. I ordered the 12 foot wide superbay yesterday so will know more next week I suppose.

Thanks for the reply, how tall is your screen? Did you just go 10x10? I know I'm gonna get a 120" wide but can't figure out what height to get because i will only get a 90" picture from the optima projector

the one i ordered is 8' high because i had to bing down the Cage 1 ' (sealing beam in the way) and i put a Little "ramp" right below the Screen to kick the balls back to me. Yes that#s how lazy i am hahahahaha

Thanks, I think I'm gonna just go 10x10 and figure it out after the fact lol...

Thanks for the reply. It seems like they offer the Minibay that's 10' wide but only 8 ft high which won't work and the one you're getting would be awesome but I don't want a 16x9 picture because of the small height footprint. I already have a theater room so I'm using this strictly as a simulator and I want the biggest pic I can squeeze in height and width wise..
That superbay is awesome though!!! Good luck
