    My SIM room upgrade

Over the next few days my sim room will be getting an upgrade. Enclosed are pics of its current status. Basically, a skytrak and the net pro hitting net with a dura pro hitting matt. All the stuff needed should be here by the end of the day

thanks. I do not like putting things together and I am not that great at it. I am hoping posting pics while I go will force me to take my time and make the job a little more fun. So far so good. Hopefully will post one more set of pics tonight.

That's actually a very good idea, nice way of making sure it looks right as you don't want to post bad pictures haha. Turf looks great so far

I am so jealous of those who don't have to play in their garages. Maybe one day for me. Looks great so far.

I am a single man so my living room was empty. I did use it to practice my kempo, but was able to move that down the basement. My mother has been on my for years to put some furniture in the living room, but I am not sure if a golf simulator was what she was thinking. This is my last pic for the night. Made some bad cuts so really cut twice as many pipes as shown but what is there appears to be a perfect fit. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the frame done.

Me too, although I am strictly a winter sim player. I wish I would have built a sim room in my addition that I did 10 years ago.

Well the net is now installed. Notice on the 1st picture they labeled front left, center, front right, etc. made the netting go much easier.

Good choice! I got the same set-up. My ball just drops down off the screen with that net behind it. You will want blackout cloth...I got twenty yards in one piece from an online cloth shop...5 1/2 feet wide...cut it into two ten yard pieces...one over the top and sides...then I cut the other ten yards into two five yard pieces and joined with carpet tape to make the back side. Lot and lots of strip ties! But the cloth is so stout you can punch holes for strip ties and the cloth will not tear.

I noticed the Indy or F1 car. Is that an RC car? Do you race it?

Good eyes. Another function of this room will to use it to display the F1 racing game onto the big screen. The F1 car you see is actually another activity I enjoy - lego. I have about 15 lego sets completed. The lego you see does not move, but you can make wing go up and down and the hood raise.
