Bounce back

Hi guys
Anybody got any solutions to ball bounce back, mostly with full wedge shots. They travel up the net and then onto the ceiling which has padding on it, but it still bounces back.
Is it likely that I have the screen too tight or does this happen with a lot of wedge shots.
Normal full shots bounce slightly but not enough to cause a problem.

can you angle ceiling padding back towards the screen?

I was thinking of either putting a net to stop the balls dropping down or some sorts of barriers to stop the balls landing near the player.

I have the same issue.... I just use almost golf balls from PW-LW now... No more having to duck and cover my head lol...

Unfortunately I can't do that as I will be using it for teaching and fittings. Need to find a viable solution to keep everyone including myself safe.

I don't have the same sort of screen set up as you, but some of my wedges were hitting the bar across the top of my cage and screaming back at us. I just scooted closer to the screen and that helped a lot. I also padded the bar with swim noodle type coverings. Might try scooting a little closer so that it hits a different part of the screen to see if that helps.

Yes that maybe a good option but I don't really want to allow people to move the gc2 all the time. I will try loosening it on the sides. I have read some people put something behind the screen. Anything work well and how far from the screen do they have it. Thanks

Putting padding behind the screen won't likely help as the screen isn't depressing enoughon the high launch angle. I suggest padding or netting above the screen to stop the ball.

A net above the screen is a good idea.

Do you have any room between the top of your screen (or at least top of projected image) and the padded ceiling? If not, there will be no room for netting as it will do no good right up against the ceiling. The other thing with netting is that it is heavy and tends to bow down in the middle, and can interfere with your screen image. I saw a set up in an airport PGA Store where they had 3 or so rows of a black heavy duty material hanging from the ceiling for baffles. They worked great, as they were set at elevations not to interfere with projector image, but to hang and knock down balls that would otherwise have hit above the screen. Balls hit the heavy fabric and basically just drop to the ground. I would imagine they would do the same thing for balls coming off the screen and up toward the ceiling. It looked like they just strung aircraft cable from side to side in the enclosure, snug to the top of the ceiling, and must have had a sleeve in the black material for the cable to slide through.

You could easily do this with the archery netting aeroburner has acquired, just double it up over the cable and have the edge stitched up real well. It would hang down from the ceiling and take the heat off any ball hitting it from either direction. Two or three rows of it would likely do the trick. The height of the baffle material can be taller by the screen, and graduate to shorter on the same angle as your projected image. This obviously assumes you are projecting from the ceiling.

Baffles work very well. But real baffles, not netting.

Email Cory at Par2Pro, and he'll send you photos of various styles of nets / baffles. I went with a net, but I think the baffles would do a better job to be honest.
