I just put up my new screen from dbgolf72 I must say that I am very impressed by this material. It is VERY quite, has nearly zero bounce back. The picture quality is just as good as the HQ2 screen that it is replacing. This is a heavy material and hung very well with no wrinkles even before I attached it loosely on the sides. dbgolf72 thank you so much for taking on this endeavor, I know it had to be a huge headache putting this all together.

PS. I just ate one of the oranges that we bought at your market, and I must say it was one of the best I have had in a long time.

Looks great. Quick question, how did you attach the top? My test/current screen is a painters tarp stapled to the ceiling joists. Not quite the route I intend to go with this material. Any advice or pictures would be great. Thanks!

I used slotted angle iron, small bungee cords, and tarp clips. I will try to post a picture in a moment.

Just wanted to update in this thread that I just emailed everyone on the list to see if anyone ordered more than they needed. Just wanted to make it clear that everyone was asked, and I'm not trying to twist anyone's arm to give me some of there material!

I'd be curious to see if the rolls are exactly the length they are supposed to be. I wouldn't doubt it they are slightly longer any way

I guess an extra foot per roll is useless unless you're going to sew it all together

Good point I have to be careful what combination of screens I cut from the rolls to make sure each roll is maximized. Will have to do some math. Believe there are 2 50 yard rolls and a 52 yard roll. Yikes hope it's possible

Thanks for putting this together db. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands I this. My current screen is looking rough.

quick question. Is there a front side to this material or are both sides the same?

I think you can hit into both sides but one side is more white in color which would be better for picture quality so I would say yes there is a front. Maybe swingleft can comment he has his already installed.

There is a very slight difference in the shade of the two sides as dbgolf72 stated, but I think you could project on either side and probably not see any difference. I am not sure if the sides are made of different materials or a correct side to hit into, maybe something to ask the manufacturer. I set mine up hitting into the whiter side, which seemed more logical to me. Hopefully I am not wrong.

mikelo33 here is a little better picture. Of the side which is just like the top, except I put the tarp clips closer, 1 about every foot. It's not the prettiest, but it works.

Got it, thanks again, I have angle iron up there for the net so that should work.

Any word on the schedule for the next run? On the fence with what I'll do at the moment.

dbgolf72 As a reminder, i wanted to make sure that you and the finisher recall that I'd like my 24'x10' order converted into a 20'x12' screen by sewing two 2'x10' pieces to the top of the main 20'x10' piece. Please confirm.

I just want to again thank you for the effort you've put into this. I'm fairly confident the entire thing has turned out to be quite a bit more work than you imagined.
