I live in Boston (long off season) in a 1,000 sqft condo. The place is basically a separate kitchen and bedroom with a very large living room. Wife gave me the ok to purchase launch monitor, mat, net etc as long as I can easily put it together and take it apart every time I use it. I will be setting this up in our living room. Dimensions of usable space I will have 14ft X 12ft. Ceiling is 10ft tall.
I need the most space effective launch monitor, hitting mat, and net. I need to be able to take apart the whole thing in no more than 15-20 mins and put it in our basement. Seems like going the projector and hitting screen route is impossible. I have settled on the Skytrak for my LM and going to use either TV or tablet for a screen. Going to buy the Skytrak used and see what else hits the market in the next 2-4 years. We will be buying a house in the next 5 years for sure and I will be purchasing a (hopefully) greatly reduced $$$ gc2 + HMT (or the ES16 if they ever figure that out) unit for ultimate man cave performance.
What do you all recommend for mat and net? Obviously my number 1 criteria is space and ease of (dis)assembly but I also ABSOLUTELY REQUIRE a hitting surface that pairs well with the Skytrak and will give me accurate numbers. My father has The Net Return golf net. While I like the fact that it is sturdy and I can assemble it in just a few minutes, I find in practice that its actually quite annoying having the ball fire back at you right after you hit. I would prefer a net where the ball just dies and falls strait down.
So far I have:
LM: Used Skytrak
Mat: CCE, Truestrike, ....? #1 thing is accurate #s on Skytrak.
Net: Similar to net return in ease of assembly but ideally one where the ball just dies at the net.
I would really appreciate any insight here. Thanks in advance.
