Green Flooring and H-Cam with Protee

Has anyone ever tried applying a filter to the H-Cam to allow the usage of green flooring surfaces? It stands to reason that if you put an appropriately selected filter in the magenta range, it should turn the turf essentially black and leave a bright (albeit magenta) ball streak. Since the cameras work in B&W, the selective filtering should provide lots of contrast between the ball and surface. Since a portion of the white light from the ball is also being filtered out, it may require a brighter light.

My room is built and ready to go although I'm kind of sitting on the sidelines to see what happens with the new LM's/Simulators so instead of building, I'm playing outside and trying to think of ways to use green turf. If there's nothing highly promising soon, I'm jumping on the protee bandwagon.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

That may work. I use a dark mat over the area of the ball streak and it works great. Filter not a bad idea though.

Arch, the filters will work. I used one for a while. If you want something for this Winter season, get the ProTee or GC2 now. There is a ProTee base 2 package on Ebay right now. Last one went for $4400 I think.

I used a IR pass filter and it helped quite a bit to filter out ambient light and a little with the reflected light on a floor. I might be selling my ProTee since I just purchased a GC2. I should know in the next week or two
