  • Where to purchase a Fiberbuilt mat

Where did you buy yours? Any recommended sellers?

I see a few online sellers... but thought I should ask here first.

    Thanks,

    brian

I was at a golf course in the summer and asked if they would sell me one of their used fiberbuilt hitting strips from their driving range at the end of the season. I just picked it up last week, it is in great shape and long story short, they gave it to me at no charge.
Previously I had been emailing with fiberbuilt to buy one directly from them but thankfully they were frustratingly slow with their responses

I recently emailed them and got very prompt responses. Their products are on the expensive side, so I continue to waffle between their product, Divot-Action, and Truestrike since all three appear to be well-regarded and to be generally considered to be preferable to what I use now, the CCE.

I have two 1x1 fiberbuilt panels I would be willing to sell. when I got mine I got a 1x4 strip but only ended up using half.

I found the Fiberbuilt pricing for a 4x5 mat system to be comparable or less than a 4x5 divot action system, and much less expensive than a TrueStrike 4x5 system... unless you are going with a DYI version of the divotaction or truestrike.. then there are some savings to be had with the DIY...

I too was comparing those three systems... Fiberbuilt, DA, or Truestrike. I was not interested in DIY however, so the Fiberbuilt pricing for me was was less than the other options for my use. For me it's hitting practice only with my SkyTrak, I don't putt or play sim courses, so Fiberbuilt seemed like the best option to simulate real turf and avoid possible repetitive injury.

I would email them directly, they were great to work with! I just emailed them a few questions about their mats last week, and a sales guy got back to me the next day and wanted to call me, so I said what the heck, and let him give me a call.. glad I did!

The person I worked with preferred phone communication, which was tough for me during the day... so took a couple extra days to finally find a good time to connect with the sales guy on the phone and get my order going once I decided on what I wanted, especially with him being busy doing some installs, and the Thanksgiving holiday got in the way, but he was super helpful. My order was finally placed yesterday, and looks like my mat just shipped out today.

I also heard that they have a new mat system as well to use along with the small oval shaped Lauch Pad they offer. The Launch Pad is an oval shaped hitting strip type thing, and goes for about $80 on Amazon. In mid January, the "Flight Deck" will be released, which is a nice rubber practice pad that will accept the oval launch pad, and may go for somewhere around $250 on Amazon... search for a video on YouTube, it's a nice looking little thing.. and I considered waiting for that to be released in January, but ultimately preferred the more traditional mat setup.

I decided on getting the single player Performance Mat System... which includes a heavy rubber mat bottom with 4 square foam inserts, a 4x4 performance stance mat you can also hit off of (kind of like a CCE), and a 1x3 hitting strip of their Fiberbuilt hitting material.... I got good pricing and free shipping working with them directly compared to online retailers I saw.

I hope to get it by Saturday.. looking forward to comparing it to my 5 year old Monster Turf that's kinda wearing out. This Fiberbuilt should last forever...

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the replies.

@tonybrown32, I noticed the Fiberbuilt single player Performance Mat System on sale (?) at a couple other online sellers for $399.00 (shipping included)

Did the sales person at Fiberbuilt give you a better deal?

Thanks..... this looks like the perfect solution!
