fyi if you don't want the holes through the hitting strip for the rubber tees, make sure and tell them prior to ordering. I find its easier to move the panels randomly for spreading out the wear. And once it is worn a little bit, putting is easier on it for sure. Skytrak user here.

I was going to rotate the panels so that helps make that decision for me about the rubber tee holes thank you.

I have the 7 x 4 fiberbuilt mat. Currently I have to assembly every time for sim play and its getting old. I want do something like tonybrown232 did based on his posed pics of his setup. Does anybody else have something like this and could post some pics. I'm trying to find the right plywood that wont warp or would be best attaching my mat sections to. TIA

I want to buy anywhere from two to four sections of fiberbuilt to place into my CCE but I'm kind of obsessed on how I can potentially cut into the fiberbuilt also to allow a pathway for putting on true putting turf. Is that possible I thought I've seen some rigging around these parts? The Putting was very good on the CCE until there was some wear and then there was natural deviation. But at least it felt good to putt on and I'm worried about putting on the fiberbuilt and trading out one benefit for a new problem. Any magical Arrangements suggestions I would love to get the best of everything

For those of you who have been using fiberbuilt for some time, have no noticed that the bristles from the mat come out occasionally? they attach themselves to the balls and are sort of a nuisance. Nothing that I have ever seen with any other mat...just wondering if my panel is a defective one.

I have a generic stance mat and the fiberbuilt 1x1 panel placed into a cutout.

On my 2nd year of regular use. I literally had 2 or 3 fibers come loose the first day. Haven't seen a loose fiber/bristle since. That sounds strange you are losing them regularly. I have never had one stick to a ball. I can't even pull them out by hand. I've tried lol.

For anyone using the 4x7 fiberbuilt mat, are you suing the tee hole for driver shots and the area away from the tee hole for irons without having to move the gc2? Can you post a picture of the gc2 setup with the 4x7 mat? Also did you specify what color of fiber built grass you got? The bright green or the regular fairway/stance mat green?

I have decided on purchasing a Fiberbuilt Combo hitting Mat but am having a difficult time deciding between the Performance Mat and the Preferred Mat. I will be using a SkyTrak Launch Monitor so the Performance Turf Mat seems the better fit becasue I would not have to keep moving the LM like I might on the Preferred Mat. My problem is that I cannot find any reviews on the Performance Mat. I would like to know if their are any wrist/elbow injuries from using it. Fiberbuilt really doesn't discuss that area like they do on the Grass mat. I would also like to know how Irons react to the Performance Turf when not using a Tee. If anyone can provide any information onl the performance Mat I would be most appreciative.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at the Fiberbuilt Performance Turf Hitting Mat Combo. I really don't want the Grass mat. I will either get theFiberbuilt Preferred or Performance Mat. Still trying to decide. Thanks again for the info.

GaryWilli - just wondering why you say you really don't want the grass mat? Is there something about it you do not like, or is there something about the preferred or performance mats that you like better?

I was initially leaning toward the Performance Mat because I could place a Tee directly into the Turf at any location using my SkyTrak LM. However, I was concerned about possible wrist/elbow injuries developing overtime so I started looking at Fiberbuilt's Preferred hitting mat because of its design and advertised injury reduction. I have yet to find any info on long term injury when using the Player Performance Mat so I am still searching. Some individuals on the Forum call their hitting Mat a Performance Mat but describe it as having a removable hitting strip. The Performance Mat doesn't have a separate hitting strip because the entire Mat can be used to hit off of. Some confusion there.

Honestly, I've tried a lot of mats. I've had fiberbuilt, but with the hitting strip and although it was good injury protection, it was WAY too forgiving and was bad for my game. My golf club has tee line mats on the range from Fiberbuilt, but don't know what line they are and I hit balls off them and not the hitting strip and might be the same mat...not sure.

My favorite mat for along time now is the Truestrike. It's good for your game and I've hit thousands of balls off of it without injury. Might be more pricey and harder to get but well worth it imo. Much better than buying something that you aren't happy with and then spending more on something else only wishing you\d gone that route the first time.
