Hey Guys
I'm looking for any insight or input you may have regarding matching flooring heights.
I am 99% sure that I am going to order NP50 putting turf for my sim area, which is 1/2" thick from the rubber underlay to the top of the turf (uncrushed).
This will meet up with 8mm (about 5/16") gym flooring at one end of the simulator area.
Initially I was going to raise the gym flooring to be 1/2" high, but it occurred to me that treading on the putting surface "crushes" it a small amount, so if the more solid gym flooring is raised to the same height, I will likely have a tripping hazard when walking from the turf onto the gym floor.
Has anyone found a solution to this? Has anyone use transition strips? Or is it best to just have the gym flooring slightly lower than the turf? Any thoughts or experience greatly appreciated
Thanks, Dave
