Hello all, I have built a simulator in my basement with 9ft ceilings, laminate floor and currently have a stance mat with a cutout for 2 fiberbuilt panels. In front of that towards the screen is a 6x10 mat from all turf mats. I would like to build out the entire area for full coverage and either have just a cutout for the hitting panel ( possibly 1x3 fiberbuilt, maybe STI ez tee, or a larger cutout for the hitting mat and hitting panels...I have looked into getting STI NP 50 to cover the entire area using ultra base system panels underneath to increase height of the NP 50 to the level of the hitting panel/stance mat. Those products are pricey, and was wondering if anyone has just used regular low pile carpet on carpet padding surrounding a hitting mat plus or minus the hitting panel insert? I am not trying to do any putting with cups on the exposed area. I have attached a pic of my setup and pic of the fullswing setup.
I was thinking of something similar to what fullswing golf does with the black border around the green stance/hitting mat? If anyone has done something similar, please post comments and pictures. thanks.
