1/2” or 5/8” gel insert

Like title say should I order 1/2” or 5/8”? Does one last longer or is one better to hit off of? The plan is to put either 1/2” or 5/8” foam rubber tiles down and cut a hole for the gel. Then I plan on laying some sort of green over the top. My ceilings are only 8’6” so trying to keep the whole mat as low as possible. The whole mat will be around 13’x 9 or 10’. Thx

No difference in performance or durability....if height is an issue go with 1/2....

I would just match the width of the rubber tiles. Less cutting and measuring
