Just thought I would post on here that there is a difference in the FB Bristles between the two, if anyone was curious. It’s something I wondered about before owning both. I used the FB flight deck for awhile in a make shift cut out of my stance mat and enjoyed it, but I recently upgraded a studio mat with the FB panels and there is a noticeable difference in the bristles compared to the fight deck. I’ve only played one round with the new mat but they seem to be much softer and slightly more forgiving on a shot struck a little heavy. The flight deck bristles are very firm, almost more of a plastic feel to them and I found I lost more yardage with this when catching it heavy (keep in my mind I have only one round on the new strips). The strips seem to be a little more plush. I have heard that the flight deck panels may get softer over time but just thought I would post this in case anyone was wondering like I was if there was a difference. Both are great options but if you have the money I would recommend the panels over the flight deck. Hopefully this helps.

I did the same thing... Started with the flight deck and moved to a full panel setup. I agree 100% about the difference between the two. -
Using flight deck as well, will upgrade to the mat—I see they have (2) 5x4 price points one for $500 and one for $900..wonder what the difference is?
also, looking for net recommendations as mine keep getting holes in them (unless you guys are using a screen)Comment

I’m not sure if the difference is just in the stance mat? I believe the hitting strips are still the same but no place to put you LM on the cheaper version like there is with the studio mat, you can always just set it on something beside your mat to get the right height, I’m sure. I use a screen, so unfortunately can’t help you out with the net problem but I know a lot of people use them on here, I’m sure there is a thread or a few guys around that can help you out if you lost a question.Comment
