I was originally disenchanted with the fiberbuilt as i felt it was kinda like hitting off a hairbrush. I moved to a Quattro strip and was initially very happy with it as i felt it matched well with the firm Texas fairways i am used to.
Then Coronavirus happened...i started wanting to play more and without playing real golf as much, i dove back into my SIM for more than just skytrak practice range work. I discovered E6 connect and find it so much more enjoyable than the original TGC (never tried TGC2019).
Bottom line I was practicing and playing a ton more and concluded that the fiberbuilt strip is simply the easiest on the joints. The Quattro led to some soreness in the elbow and wrist to the point where I subconsciously started trying to pick the ball to avoid the impact. I am glad i kept my fiberbuilt and didn't sell it.

Why I went back to Fiberbuilt from Quattro mat

I agree, the Fiberbuilt has been so much better for my elbows. I am a sweeper, so I have no issues with the feel of the Fiberbuilt. Best mat I have ever owned.

Had the CCE and started to develop medial elbow pain on both elbows. Made the switch to Fiberbuilt...pain free. Protect your elbows at all cost

I have a Quattro but never owned a Fibrebuilt studio mat. I now have a performance fibrebuilt mat that came with the sim in a box. is the stance mat in the studio mat spongy or hard?

Thanks Wizard of Coz for confirming what I thought with Fiberbuilt as I have to use it, it's installed/factory on my ProTee sensor... about to see how it goes, but I do have another older sensor with several other purchased mats to fit it, of which none are too appealing.
I've got to keep my wrists intact with a lot of practice, and know that it will transfer to golf on the course - as I take quite deep divots. Do you ever run into a problem with swiping under the ball when hitting flops?

Exactly right Dax - longevity is way more important than anything else at this point... I'm setting up a ProTee simulator and have 2 used units that I purchased. One is older, with older cameras, so I purchased a newer one, but the big thing I noticed is that the older one (about 5 years old) has a lot of wear on the FiberBuilt factory delivered/installed mat, compared to the newer one (only about 1 year old), I mean it's a huge difference. But, the older sensor I purchased came with 3 or 4 additional mats, and one appears to be a TrueStrike (similar) mat, which I can see has much less 'height' to it and less 'brushiness', but I would think would be quite a pain on the wrists over time.
I'm coming from playing in Simulators in the off-season at Bars, and none of them had FiberBuilt. I know that every time I left the facility, even after an hour or so, my wrists would hurt like hell. I definitely cannot live with that in my home sim, as I'll be out there several hours/day.

That is another benefit of the FB. Mine is sitting on top of my turf and has not moved at all since I got it. I had to use carpet tape on my old mat or it would shift after only a few swings.

The Quattro destroyed my elbow, wrists and caused trigger finger in my left pinky finger. I used the FB insert for a couple hours yesterday and big difference from the Quattro. Putting is a tiny bit different but had not issues with misreads.

OK, great. I am in NC so only takes 1 day to ship - will be here this afternoon. The solid rubber base will be good to avoid sliding on the floor. With the Quattro I ended up bolting to concrete floor to stop it from moving area (now the bolts have to be removed).

Figure I chime in. I went from fiberbuilt, to Truestrike and now back to fiberbuilt.
Hated the fiberbuilt because it felt like I was hitting off a fluffy lie all the time. So sold it and got truestrike. Loved it. Then started to develop elbow and wrist pain. Never had this ailment before. I tend to take big divots and occasional fat shot. The truestrike gel isn’t as soft as one would think. Too firm imo.
so back to fiberbuilt and things are great again.Last edited by johnnybogey; 07-23-2020, 04:20 PM.

If you have a history of elbow problems, don't even mess around, just go with the Fiberbuilt. I personally don't believe there is any other product out there that is as easy on the joints as this, unless your taking very deep divots. Then you may bottom out, but it takes a pretty significant fat shot to do that.

The one you ordered has a solid rubber base. The second one you linked to has styrofoam inserts in the stance mat. I'm not sure of any other differences other than one less section of hitting mat.
I bought the one you ordered about a month ago, and have been very pleased coming from my Perfect ReACTION mat.
