  • Fiberbuilt Combo Mat Installation

Quick question. I have the 10x12 combo mat and am wondering if I need to use the push pins from underneath the mat into the connectors. I may want to move the mat at some point to another location and it looks like those push pins might be tough to remove. I am installing real-time so if someone could weigh in as soon as possible that would be much appreciated. Instructions included do call for them though the on-line video does not show them.

    Thanks - Jason

Pickled Take your pick on the angle - yes no seams at all and putts run very true.

Adrenaline - Space was 16x20 - with a ceiling height as the limiting factor. I have just under 9 feet (about 104") in the hitting area but there is a bulkhead in what would be a left-handed hitting area about a foot lower so we are limited to righties only which is fine for us. You can see how I framed around the bulkhead to come straight across at the bulkhead height. I just filled in the sides with a 2x4 frame, and acoustic tiles over 1/2" plywood. Added some netting and I still need to paint or add some additional tiles on the walls to finish it off I think. FWIW - the combination of the netting over acoustic tiles seems to protect the bulkhead ceiling from the occasional errant ball on the rights side. The balls never reach the ceiling on the left side due to the netting being lower.

Screen was ordered to maximize a 16:10 picture and I get about 86" high x 138" wide. It was a 12 foot x 8 foot high screen. The bottom just sits loose and catches balls from putts and short chips.
