Which of these two would be best?

Hi all,

Firstly let me just thank everyone here for the knowledge I'm gaining for my build. I'm UK based so I cannot access a lot of the product I see on here without crazy Shipping/Customs fees. I have found two possible hitting mats and wondered if anyone could help me choose the better of the two? The first is a Hybrid Me T35 Combo Mat https://www.hybridme.co.uk/product-page/t35-combi-mat
The second is an S4 Fibrebuilt Traditional mat, it's slightly more expensive but not much. https://www.golfswingsystems.co.uk/p...-mat-complete/

If anyone has any experience with either I'd really appreciate your inputs.

While not a review of such, I have researched this a lot and it would seem for someone who uses their sim a lot and is looking to have many more years of enjoyable golf (i.e. minimize risk of wrist, elbow or shoulder injury) that it seems the fibrebuilt is the one that is most gentle on the body. After reading this over and over and having a slight wrist injury for trying something for the past month, I have decided to give the fibrebuilt a try. Just received confirmation this morning actually of it being shipped

I do note that while expensive, my truestrike mat never gave me issues and I am holding onto it in case the fibrebuilt mat that I will try does not work out. The Truestrike would see me taking it apart to make it work and I would rather not do that at this time.

If injury prevention is your primary goal, FiberBuilt is the way to go. I've been using the 9'x4' studio mat for a year now and haven't developed any sort of joint issues. Made a DIY gel pad mat prior and it caused elbow issues within a few months of use.
Some users don't like the lack of fat shots punishment (yardage wise) but I don't think it's that big of an issue. I can feel when I hit fat or thin shots and the results do show on the launch monitors, maybe just not fully realistic...but that's why we work on our game right? to get rid of a lot of the fat/thin shots.
The other typical complaint is the fibers aren't great for putting, and it absolutely isn't. I think of these as trade-offs to not be injured when working on my game, the plus outweighs the minus by a mile for me.

Thanks very much frackh. Injury isn't a big concern i don't think....As i won't have any concrete underneath. I'd like it to be as realistic as possible. I don't really care about the putting side of things tbh, more about the rest of the game for me.

I bought the Nagic stance mat and the hitting strips. Really great value.

I find all the strips pretty comfortable to hit off - though possibly an issue with the Tee Turf one if your swing is very steep.

I read a very good report on Amtech mats on here - the combi with changeable inserts - the best seemed to be the dual turf insert:

IMO go with the Fiberbuilt.
