  • 2" Rubber Tees

I've purchased several types of 2" Rubber tees for my Country Club Elite mat. They all are made of a soft rubber compound that seems to wear easily. They last maybe 2 rounds.

I haven't been able to find a better quality rubber tee (commercial grade) that last longer made and is made with a harder rubber compound. The tees that came with my mat lasted almost a year showing little wear. These tees are no longer available.

    Any suggestions?

I use birtees and they work great with simulators. Imo.

Don't get the white BirTees though. They mess with the reads of launch monitors. I went white, learned they cause some misreads, then dark blue, no misreads but hard to find in the darkened room, finally decided on red which work fine and are easier to find in the dark sim room..

I use the black BirTees and tie a string on them to make retrieval easier.

Based on this thread I just ordered a few packs of BirTees. Ordered yesterday & arriving today including an email exchange from the owner! So far - great service! The only downside to the Fiberbuilt combo mat I have found so far is that the rubber adjustable tees that come with the mat do not lower as far as I would like for a hybrid or iron off a tee (and of course it does not support a tee in the mat). Hopefully this will solve that issue. Otherwise the Fiberbuilt mat has been amazing over the past 6 weeks or so and I have found no issues transitioning to the course. Will report back on the BirTees when I test them out. Jason

How are you Birtees working out? Do you have a radar-based LM? Curious if the Birtees flying up get in the way of the radar readings.

So as a quick update, after a few weeks I really like the BirTees and can solidly recommend them. As I mentioned above, the only downside to the Fiberbuilt combo mat I have found so far is that the rubber adjustable tees that come with the mat do not lower as far as I would like for a hybrid or iron off a tee and the number 2 (Hybrid) and number 1 (iron) seems to work really well for me. They do fly and I was a bit worried about them marking the scren but this has not been an issue at all. They also have many other higher sized tees and while I use the fibre-built tee for driver, my daugheter really likes the BirTees both in the sim and on the course (press the easy button!).

I use a GCQuad so I cannot comment on the radar interference other than to say they are small plastic objects - I question whether they would show up at all.

          Hope that helps, Jason
