  • Homemade indoor putting green advice?

I won't be using this for the sim, as I can't be moving the skytrak between all the shots. However, I'd love to make a realistic putting green for indoor use on a budget. Maybe something that's similar to the BirdieBalls putting greens (or others reviewed on MyGolfSpy). Has anyone made one cheaply they're happy with?

Edit: I should add that this will be used over carpet, which always makes things tricky for stimp speed.

It's probably easiest to order a big Birdieball green surface and use that. It's relatively cheap and easy to work with. The only thing is my dog quickly put marks in it, so may not want to use it if you have pets.

      What do you consider cheap?

Going over carpet really makes things tough as feet cause sag

You're right, I didn't give much info on my cost goals. I guess I'm not sure, but that I'm assuming I can make something nice cheaper than buying it. Although maybe the difference is negligible. Agreed that the carpet is though to deal with.

I built a 12x4 indoor putting green for $500 and most of that was the cost of the turf. Check out this thread.

I have been wanting to have a little indoor putting green to be able to practice at night, on breaks while working from home, etc. I looked into birdieball, big moss and some other pre-made ones but I really wanted it to be more realistic and for the ball to drop into a real cup. I spent the past two months or so contemplating
