    Camry Carpets

Anybody heard of this? Playing partner mentioned them the other day and it sounded interesting to use for general turf v with a hitting strip cut in

People have been making putting setups for years with this stuff. Originally from their trunk carpet. Used to be able to get it from eBay.

It's $200USD for a 9'x18' patch. Seems great to me at 11 stimp.

Wow - really $200 for 9'x18'? Is that on eBay? I'm looking to turf out my shed for final install...

It used to be on Ebay, but moved over to https://camrygolf.com/

Honestly the best deal I could have gotten for my home putting green considering the artificial turf option was 7x the cost. It's been 3 years and still rolls great. I've referred this material to many people!

I also checked those out. It looks like it is pretty good stuff. At some point I am going to build a set up with it incorporated.

The carpet is fantastic. I saw it on Feherty with Webb Simpson. The only thing I would recommend is use an underlay! Gives it an immaculate roll, and feel on the feet. I even throw down the chalk line to practice and it wipes away in a couple days.

Looks awesome No3Putting what did you use for the underlay (cork)? And where did you find the underlay? I notice the furniture levelers too, nice one... so it seems with cups on both ends of 15' I could setup up for left/right going one way, and right/left the reverse direction, the only problem becomes a straight putt - maybe that would run down the opposite side of the side setup for the break, ever experimented with that?

I would buy this if you didn’t have to have seams every 54”.

I don't think there are any seams in it, 15' roll, but I'll check again...

Yea it’s only 54” wide so you have to have seems if you are wider than that. I was going to use this for my sim floor but it really needs to be stretched pretty good to get smooth and my setup is soft carpet underlay on foam pads to elevate floor and just really doesn’t work well with this thin carpet. So heads up you need a firm underlay to get it right or else footprints wreck it. For the right application though it’s great stuff. I’m gonna build a dedicated putting green with it since I have it now :-)

Yes, I may also build a dedicated putting platform for it, with the furniture levelers to include breaks... I could see it being very useful for that. As for using it on a sim floor, it may be possible, but after thinking about it, and considering colors, I really want something that is 'green', and really like a green grass, probably something like I've seen at Purchase Green, which runs in the $500-$600 range for 12'x15', but it's going to be worth it... I think it's long life as well.

I may try out some cheap big-box indoor/outdoor grass-like stuff (as long as it is PolyEthylene - PE only). Just to see how it rolls - we have some on our porch that has probably been there for 30-40 years!

Looking for a dark grey putting surface. Camry is struggling with supply issues right now. Anyone have any other recommendations?

I'm back with an update! The camry carpet has been working well but I'm looking to now cover a room in a vacation airbnb I have set up for the guests. Camrygolf.com has 10' wide rolls now, but the minimum order is a 70 yd roll. The room is only going to need 3 rolls of 10'x30' so 30yds. Anyone want the rest? I was thinking I can forward the excess material to another customer. Just a note, for this large project I am going to use 3mm felt underlayment as the underlayment of choice.

Yup, the grey camry carpet. They ended up getting a 10x18 foot roll to me at a great price. Project to come in March-

I stand corrected. They have the 10' wides and cut to any length. https://camrygolf.com/product/10-wid...free-shipping/

                  Hi
Did anyone ever end up using Camry trunk carpet for a putting green?
                  I'm very interested.
                  Thanks
