Tee on diy divot action?

Hi,
I made a diy divot action following guidance here (thx).

I went with a small 1/8" layer of foam between the lexan and turf. Great for hitting irons, not very accepting of tees for driver.

What do you do for tees?
Do you drill a hole through everything to install a rubber tee insert from underneath?
If so, is there a good option like this that accepts real tees? Can you point me to the product you're using?

Or do you have a 2nd hitting mat next to your divot action, just for tees + driver?

Okay so apparently searching for TEES with an S is better lol.

I see Tomahawk, Birtee, Tee Claw options.
Sounds like in general, for hitting mats those are preferred over rubber tees inserted through the bottom.

If people with diy divot actions could chime in with their experiences of the different options, that would be great.

I feel like ordering all 3 of those, but will wait a bit for feedback and make sure there are no other options I'm missing to pair with diy divot action.

I've used them all, and tomahawk lasts longer than birtee for sure. The tee claw is just used so the tees don't go flying around. If you try to use the teeclaw with a tee in it, the normal tees just go flying around and also break if they are wood and you're chasing them. If you need the tomahawk taller, just stack two and the put the cord through it and it attach it to the teeclaw.

I have a divot action mat. I just use the rubber tees. They arent really tees though. Not sure if they have effects on ball flight? I don't like that the fly all over the place.

Probably best to have more than one option for me, the wife, and friends.

Using the Tee Claw to attach the Tomahawk so it does not go flying sounds like a pretty solid option though.

I second this combo. Works great and tomahawk tees are more resilient than bitters IMO

I drilled a hole (about 3/4") in my lexan through the turf top. My diy stands about an inch and a quarter and sits in a fiberbuilt cut out. Into the hole I put a rubber hitting mat tee. You have some options here. You can insert a broken tee into the bottom of the rubber tee and put the ball on the rubber tee, or insert a tee into the top and hit off of the wooden tee. Cons to this are, changing after teeing off and breaking wooden tees.

I use the Birtees, really like them. Don't order anything white, my GCQuad doesn't like white, thinks it's another ball.

Green Birtees work great !! No problems after 2 years
