  • CCE may shifting

Any recommendations to prevent mat from shifting? I've got a CCE just sitting on concrete floor and it shifts during the swing causing miss reads on gc3. I do need to move the mat after use so something that can be removed would be ideal

Get a couple of concrete anchors with 1/4 20 threads. Glue a couple or three tabs on the underside of the mat and bolt these to the anchors. Two or three at the mat corners are sufficient to keep the mat in place. To move the mat just unscrew the 1/4-20 bolts. If you want you can then screw in a length of 1/4-20 all thread to keep crap out of the anchors threads when the mat is not in use. I have my CCE mat attached to the concrete garage floor and regularly drive the cars right over it when not in use or remove it for more extensive under the car work.

This is more or less what I was going to do with redwing anchors and 1/4-20 bolts.

I use two three foot strips of velcro. Adhesive on two sides and of course the velcro on two sides.
