  • Fiberbuilt Replacement Strip

Struggling on what to try for replacement of my grass strip.
    3 options,
    1. Holy Grail
    2. EZ Tee Hybrid
    3. Bullseye Soft
All 3 will drop right in. Looking for something more realistic, and better for chipping and putting.
Any recommendations from experience would be awesome!! Thanks

We've used the Holy Grail. I felt it was realistic for all types of contact. Punished fat shots without punishing elbows or wrists.

I use the Mega Mat ( same company as EZ Tee Hybrid). It's thicker than the EZ Tee, so check what thickness you need. My guess is the Green part is similar, just the thickness of the foam pad underneath. I like the Mega Mat- no issues with elbows, etc. No Green residue on the club. Very little wear. You can put a tee inthe mat, but I found chasing down the tees after the shot to be a pain, so I switched to Birdie Tees, and Tee Claw and string to attach to the mat .

I cut a hole in my cc elite and put in a Carls place divot action, I think I got the softer version, very comfortable to hit off of.

Is this divot action strip still sold? I don’t see it on Carls web site.

I ordered the bullseye soft, was torn between it and the eztee.
I have not hit on either. Hopefully the bullseye soft is a little softer than the eztee, read some complaints on eztee grabbing a little too much. Should have the bullseye any day, fingers crossed

I think you will be very pleased with your choice. Very interested to hear of you see the same residue on your clubs some have seen (but not all). Seems to be one of the only potential complaints on the BE Soft version. I have been using the original (no longer avail it seems) and other than the color - have no complaints whatsoever. After almost a year it shows no signs of wear and tear.

Been using the Bullseye soft for a few months now. Previous elbow pain pain is 95% gone and the strip is in near mint condition. The residue complaint really is not an issue, not sure why people get concerned about it. It's extremely thin and disappears after hitting in the same area for a couple sessions not to be seen again unless you flip the mat sound or hit from a new area on it. Its a really nice blend of feel and performance. Hitting it fat is punished for sure and you will know without looking at your ball flight that you missed, a pured shot is rewarded with a nice fairway compression.

I purchased the FB 4x7 grass series last month. Not really happy with the club interaction myself. I don’t see the numbers I wanna see and don’t get the feedback I want from the mat. I just ordered the HG and expect it next week. Hoping the HG will give me the feedback I’m looking for while still being forgiving on the joints. I’ll try to follow up after getting it.

Hit a few off the bullseye 3D strip today. Really liking it so far. Seems to lessen the impact of striking the turf much better.

You will be pleased with it I think. It is a great hitting strip.

I would highly recommend the SigPro Softy. I have been using it very heavily for the past month (7 days a week) and it is nothing short of a pleasure and joy to hit off of. Great lie. Great feel. Very realistic and super easy on the joints. Good Luck!

Do you have the premade mat or an insert? If you did the insert, what did you use to make the strip flush with your stance area? 2 3/8” seems like an awkward height

Sorry, I just saw this question now. I purchased the complete 4'x10' Sigpro Softy mat with the insert and I couldn't be happier. Honestly think it would be hard to find a better mat. I started out trying to make my own with an insert, but the price kept creeping up and the finished product wasn't going to reflect the investment so I just purchased a clean finished system. Hope this helps.

Any follow up or reviews on the holy grail as a drop in replacement for those with the fiberbuilt system? I have the 4x9, so interested in how it compares to the fiberbuilt and how well it fits into the mat.
