Netting/mat

I could use some advice/ recommendations on both. My current net breaks down and i have to repair it quite frequently. I used zip ties and a pillow case as target to extend the netting life. Pillow cases works great and is quiet. My current set up in the basement. 4 bike hangers that hold 2 10ft pvc pipe with shower curtain hooks to attach the netting. I can just slide the netting out of the way easily. I have 2 so the second net catches the ball if the first fails by breaking down.
What is the best net to get? Do all nets break down?

By what I've read best mat country club elite?
I'm currently using real heavy firm range mat not sure of the brand.

Check out archery netting from Westcoast, it will make a huge difference and is very high quality. I would read Mat reviews on this site for more info before making a decision.

Archery netting is best for impact zone but be aware even that will breakdown eventually simply because you will be hitting the net in pretty much the same place all the time. The other thing which has a great effect on how long your netting will last is the quality of your practice balls. If the covers are not smooth and edge free then they pretty much act like a circular saw when they hit the net spinning anywhere from 1 to 10 k rpm depending on the quality of strike and the club you are using.

As to mat the CC elite is a great choice. The mat is kind of soft which helps in wrist and elbow problems. The other thing that is an advantage is if you are hitting the ball at all fat you will know immediately as the thick mat turf really slows down you club head before it strikes the ball. With a harder mat your joints take a beating and a lot of shots that are really hit fat don't suffer from a loss of ball speed since the club bounces off the mat and into the ball without being slowed down much.

PR20 from west coast netting. You can still slide it out of the way when needed. You can leave your current net as additional backing and then you can project an image onto it as well. The image quality is not the greatest, so if you want something better for image, you would be looking at HQ from par2pro or pr100 from west coast. thanks my joints are part of the reason I'm asking and i had a couple balls loose without the backup net. A golf ball flying at over 100mph in the basement well i don't have to explain what that's like ( not interested in making America's funniest videos)!!!

thank you ill check the pr20 out. I don't need to project at this point. I just use a tv monitor on the wall for now.

I'm using the PR100 from West Coast Netting and really like it. good projection and handles the balls really well. Low bounce back. Don't put a chain in the bottom pocket though, I did and the chain wore a hole in the bottom pocket from it hitting the floor after ball strike. Now have bungy core in it.

just loose to hang from my pvc and slide out of the way. I never really thought about projection but the pr20 would project i guess if i changed my mind. How was the rukket net? Did you put any through it? I'm thinking 10x 10 netting or pr20.

The net was awesome. I just decided to go a different route with my setup. Netting is THICK! I'd be surprised if you could ever knock one through it. Setup is simple too. Takes about 2 minutes to setup, and it comes with the side nets as well to protect of shanks/push/pulls. The angle of the net actually does help with making it roll back to your feet which is pretty convenient.
