  • Taking The Plunge On A Country Club Elite Mat

Well I finally broke down and ordered a 5 x 10 CCE mat. I have been using one of the original Optishot octogon mat for quite some time and now the pieces have started to separate. After everything I have read it seems like a good choice. I hardly use my Optishot now that I have a Skytrak but I want a bit better feel off of the mat. Hopefully I made the right choice!

I will it's already been shipped and should be arriving on the 16th.

Anyone know a putting mat that is the same height as the CCE mat? And not to be picky but possibly the same color?

you will love this matt - however fat shots become really fat shots - which of course is good.

Well today I finally was able to put the mat to use. As of right now I am very pleased with the mats performance. Fat shots sputter out and honestly after 2 rounds I love it. My original mat was really gracious with fat shots. The CCE is not forgiving when it comes to getting any distance on fat shots which is exactly what I had hoped for. It's a keeper! Now I just need to figure out a good putting surface to finish up the flooring.

I ordered a 40 dollar 3 x 11 putting mat from Amazon to give it a shot. I still haven't adjusted the height just yet and the colors are not a match but the mat is of average speed which is fairly similar to my local courses. No holes cut in yet but I'm working on it!

SynLawn Precision Putt is a really close match, if you have a local dealer, you could visit and see if they have remnants
