New user with a floor idea

I've got my stance mat(CCE) and screen is ordered. I need something to go between the mat and screen. My setup is in the garage so floor is concrete. I was thinking about a large section of cheap AstroTurf with carpet padding underneath it. Probably glue them together. The screen+stand is 12" wide and stance mat will be about 8" from the screen. Let me know what y'all think or if you have any better ideas.

That is what I did, not carpet padding though. Seems to work fine. I used 3m spray adhesive along the edges to keep it from sliding around.

I use the costco indoor/outdoor green carpeting in my garage between hitting mat and screen.

I bought a 12' X 12' turf roll from Menards. It rolls out up to my hitting area. My hitting mat sits on top to help hold it down. It lays flat and have no adhesive holding it down. Works great. Also it's on concrete floor and didn't need padding.

What about carpet tape to keep the two together ?

I have Home Depot astroturf from the carpet section. No padding, but it's definitely on the list. My setup is a loft, and the balls are LOUD when they land.
