  • Help needed on stance mat / platform / putting

Hi all, I am close to completion of enclosure and screen, and currently have soft rubber matts on the floor with a CCE hitting strip .

I have bought TGC and have skytrak..... and assuming that the skytrak will also be used to record the putting ??

I have seen some set ups where it looks like you put straight from the Tee position.... but not sure how realistic this would feel on CCE turf. I have also seen other setups where there appears to be holes cut out of a putting green material spectate to the hitting platform/ Matt.... but I don't fancy the idea of having to move my skytrak for each putt.

I was looking to build a plywood platform, with an insert for the hitting Matt ( originally for optishot... which never came out of the box as I moved to skytrak ) in which I would put the CCE hitting strip and possibly for another insert (rucket Matt tri-turf)

If putting works from the skytrak, then would I be best to have 1 platform all the same height and putt off the CCE strip..,, or would you suggest a separate putting surface and move the skytrak each time

Appreciate all and any ideas and suggestions..,, and pics / examples would be useful to inspire me

    Thanks

you lost me but yes you do put with the skytrak and TGC and I think it works well. My entire enclosure has putting grade carpet/mat so I created 3 holes at 10 ft apart - so I have a 10ft, 20 and 30ft. This works well for me.

Ran across this thread when research putting green setups. Would be nice to see a picture of your setup. If you load one to your media area everyone could see.

🤤sorry, if I overcomplicted.... but thanks for answering.

I have a 10x10 cage, and now working on the floor. I currently just have rubber gym matts to deaden the bounce, and a CCE hitting strip.

I am trying to work out how I build around this.... whether to create a hitting platform with plywood, cover in putting turf and cut out a space for the CCE strip. This would then look cleaner. Unless I move my skytrak, the red dot would be on my Tee space for the CCE... as such the start of the putt would have to be from the CCE hitting strip.

In your example of 10ft apart holes.....I'm assuming this is not in a hitting enclosure.... unless it's a monster enclosure

.... just looking for ideas and suggestions on the floor, turf and set up within a enclosure.

    Thanks
