Will i see a big difference between theese projectors

    I currently have a Benq MW621 ST Native res 16:10 (WXGA 1200x800) 3000 lumen contrast 13000:1 http://www.benq.us/product/projector...pecifications/

Thinking about upgrading to the new Benq TH671ST Native res 16:9 (1920x1080) 3000 lumen contrast 10000:1 http://www.benq.us/product/projector...pecifications/

My screen is about 11.5' x8' and i stand at around 8 feet and watch movies from 12-13 feet. I use the 16:10 resolution setting. Thinking that i can run the 671ST in 16:10 aswell?
Will i notice a big difference?

You will definitely notice a difference as you are stepping up to full HD. It's the same as going from a 720p TV to a 1080p TV. Everyone has a different definition of a big difference, but the difference should be more noticeable at the 8 ft hitting distance than at the movie distance. I would probably purchase the new projector from somewhere you can return it if you don't think the upgrade is worth it.

If you make the purchase, please post up and let us know if you do see a noticeable difference. I have been considering a new projector as well. Been looking at the Optoma GT1080 darbee. I have the same projector you have now.

I'm also wondering if my screen will have an impact on image quality. I have the Spectrum heavy screen and while it has held up very well to impacts it does suffer a little in picture quality.

If i do make the purchase i will let you know what i think.
I also looked at the optoma but i would have to mount it much closer to the screen for the same picture size. And it has less lumens, which could be a problem? With the Benq it would take 2 minutes to switch since lenses etc are the same.
