  • Any info on InFocus IN138HDST

Anyone try one of these yet?

looks like they just came out in November and at the price point the specs look fantasic compared to the BenQ HT2150ST or Optoma GT1080Darbee.

JRachner projectorcentral in their throw calculator shows this projector as needing to be placed in the middle of the image. However, i think if I understand your post correctly, it sits about 21" above the top of your image, is that correct?

Correct, projector central can be a little confusing. I followed the manual from Infocus- see pages 18 and 21

I've found their usually pretty good, but for whatever reason, they don't have this one correct.

I’m not sure if I am seeing this correctly but the manual on page 21 does not show that much of an offset. Even the max screen size does not show 21”. Click image for larger version

You’re right I think 21” is what I calculated my distance of the lens from the ceiling needed to be. Apologies for the confusion.

Looking at the same projector you have. The research is crazy!! I like everything about the specs but I couldn't find anything about the refresh rate and lag. I'm not even sure if those matter, I was just going off some comments that you need a 'gaming' projector. Have you noticed any lagging with this projector? Thanks

None whatsoever. So far couldn’t be happier with it.

One word of advice, the InFocus projector mounting points are far from generic, make sure your mount states it’s compatible. I spend a couple hours fabbing up some custom plates to make mine work with this projector.

I did. So the picture and everything seemed good to me (but I'm new to all this and have nothing to compare it to). However, I'm having to send it back as I need a floor projector and the image doesn't display properly at the distance I need it set up at. Unfortunate.
                Working...
