  • Benq TH671 vs MW 632ST

Pretty much decided on one of these two models due to throw distance and set up in my room with the mevo plus. Anyone have experience with either or both? 671 on back order but seems to have better reviews so leaning towards that one. It has a little less lumens, 3000 vs 3200. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks

I just purchased a used MW632, haven't used yet add still waiting for Mevo+

    Difference is resolution

    MW632 - WXGA (1280x800) Resolution
    TH671ST - 1080P (1,920x1,080)

I will be running E6 off an iPad which doesn't have a 1080P out, so extra money with no benefit for me

So I’ll be using the iPad Pro 11” which has higher resolution I believe. I’ll have to double check that

If you will be using e6 with an iPad, the graphics are quartered. See response from e6 below. This response and the great price on a used one swayed me to the MW632.

If you care about graphics and will be going PC route I would get the TH671ST. The person i bought the MW632 from upgraded to the 671st and he didn't regret it.

        E6 response:

The iOS platform takes whatever resolution the device states it is capable of and uses that, then, in order to get good performance within the software, the device resolution is quartered and blown up to fill the screen afterwards (so yes, the graphics are extremely compromised). Our developers are planning on improving it, but I do not have an ETA for that.

I have had the MW632ST for about 2 years now ceiling mounted in my melting the adhesive from the velcro hot or freezing cold garage and have not had any issues. The garage doors face to the north but allow plenty of light in the garage during the day and the image is still super bright but I do play most in the evenings. I am not big into the graphics and using PC and iOS for E6 and WGT so I switch from 16:10 to 4:3 depending on which one I am using and it fills my visual needs

Appreciate the input. I will be using the projector some for movies/sports with kids so will have to consider that. Glad to hear they seem like good options either way
