    Looking For A New Projector

I have a pretty good 1080p projector ( don't remember the brand ) right now but I have very recently went to the TGC2019 and it seems a little light on the impact screen. The room is not very dark by the screen but it is dim ( no lights above it ). Can someone recommend a decent projector. Maybe something in 4k if the would help.

If you have ambient room light hitting the screen, the brightest projector in the world won't solve your light and washed-out image, and upping the resolution to 4K really wouldn't help, as those are typically not as bright.

The blacks in your image can be only as dark as the screen without the projector on. Solve the ambient light problem and you may not need a new projector.

Here's a pic of my old studio, where I had a 2,200 lumen BenQ HT1085ST installed (relatively low lumens), but had the ambient light well controlled:

Something with a higher lumens level than what you currently have can help. But really, try just turning off all the lights in the room and blocking out any windows with blackout shades. The light from the projector is typically enough to see your ball on the mat well enough. If not, you can add a small table light near the mat that shines on the ball. But rather than trying to juice up the brightness of the projector, just eliminate all the light from the room.
