    BenQ TK700STi

I've been tracking this projector for awhile waiting for it's release. I ordered it today - as it just became available on the BenQ website. After doing a lot of research, it seems to fit my needs and is 4k at a reasonable price.

Right now it says that I will receive it 4/29, so I'll let everyone know how it looks.. Is anyone else planning to get this one?

TK700STi, the console gaming projector offering RPG, FPS, SPG game modes without sacrificing true 4K UHD graphics with lightning-quick 16ms input lag.

Any chance you could post up some before and after pics of your screen once you get it? I've been very intrigued by this one.

Well I will certainly share after photos - It's a new build so I'll have nothing to compare to. Right now I'm just on a TV - but the screen goes up this weekend, and the projector as soon as it comes in now!

I am quite interested as well. Really the only thing that has me wondering is the relatively low Lumens. At 3,000 one will really need to control ambient lighting. That said, BenQ projectors are well known for overperforming in this regard. Can't wait to see what you think!

I ordered one from a third party vendor last Wednesday. They didn’t have an exact ship date for me, but hopefully this is good news. I agree with your sentiments about it seeming to be a great lower cost option in the 4K realm. I’m planning to set mine up at the most extreme wide angle side of its zoom range to reduce distance to screen as much as possible to help with the lumens issue. For my 158” wide screen, that puts it at 11’10” from the screen, so hopefully that isn’t too far and will get the job done.

Out of curiosity, what kind of PC hardware are you planning to use for 4K simulation?

underwaterDMS my screen will be similar - 170" wide, so I'll be closer to 13' feet from the screen with the wide angle.

I am a bit worried about the lumens, but my room is completely sealed off from windows, so it will only be competing with the TV and monitor.

        The PC I am running is this: iBUYPOWER - Gaming Desktop - Intel i7-10700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB - 480GB SSD + 1TB HDD

Been looking at this projector as well. Will be interested in how it turns out for you. My screen size is about 190" wide. Same situation as you, completely sealed off from windows. I'm worried about the brightness and clarity as I would have to mount it about 14-17 feet back. New build as well, so dont have anything to compare it to.

Jacks12 The TK850 is plenty bright with a 16x9' screen in a light-controlled room, so I expect the TK700STI to be the same (both 3K lumens).

I have the 2080 8GB and it runs 4k well but the problem is that the fans make a lot of noise as the pc is overworked. Going back to 1080 puts a far less strain on it. I am thinking of changing to liquid cooled to reduce this issue so if you have a chance now you might want to consider that.

Did anyone get their projector yet? I'm anxious to hear the reviews. Mine is tentatively scheduled to arrive around May 5.

Yes! I've just installed it last night - and I'm very impressed so far, though this is my first projector so I don't have much to compare to.

It's plenty bright for my completely dark room, even with PC / TV light. TGC is running fine on all max settings, and I think it looks great. I watched some 4k trailers on it and that is cool as well, though certainly not as clear as my OLED obviously. Here are some pictures, the screen is 168" wide. Click image for larger version

Installing the same setup and screen size in the next week or two... How far is the hitting area from screen on your setup? What height is the projector from the floor? I want to see how close i can hit from without casting a shadow? Thanks!

Looks great! I'm planning a 16' wide screen but it looks like it should be ok. I'm also going to be in a completely light controlled room which will help.

Looks fantastic! I'm still waiting on delivery... have been told it is still a few weeks out for me. I'm still in the process of my build, so I suppose the delay isn't the worst thing in the world. I'm really happy to hear TGC2019 is running great with maxed out settings on your PC.

My order status says it arrives tomorrow, but I still haven't received a shipping notice. I'm not going to hold my breath. I am very excited as it looks like it will be perfect for my sim area.

SpookyCamzilla Looks great. How do you find hitting balls in such a dark environment? or do you have additional lighting for golf? If so, any chance you could update us on how the projector performs with your 'golf lights' on?

It's definitely too dark for the moment. I can't turn the room lights on for sure, it's too bright. I'm considering installing a single LED pinspot pointed toward the ball, but I also would like some light at the back of the room where I have a putting green, so I may install an LED strip or something there instead.

SpookyCamzilla setup looks great! I am going with something similar... EyeXO and a TK700STi, with a 160" wide screen

How far back is the projector mounted from your screen? It almost looks like it is right over the hitting zone?

I am wanting to upgrade to 4K but I need a pretty short throw as I am scared I will get in the way of the image and cast a shadow. How far back did you have to put it to fill your screen?

JNewman1909 fortner28 It's mounted about 158" (13.1') behind the screen. I hit from about 10', and have no shadow issues at all, though I'm rather short. I did a lot of work on the BenQ projector calculator before mounting it, but there's some wiggle room because of the lens zoom option.
