Sim Build 2.0 - Switching Projectors?

Hi all - I am about 50% of the way done with my new shed build. I'm able to use all of the existing setup but I am really trying to figure out where to put the projector so it's completely out of the way. I know there is a 1,000,000 options but thought I would seek some feedback. Here are the specs of my current setup and what I am looking for.

12' from floor to the ceilings

BenQ TH671ST Projector running at a 16:9 ratio.
Viewable screen size of 142x90. I'm losing ~10 inches of screen w/ this setup but don't really plan to change it at this time.

Ball is placed ~7'6" from the screen. In the old setup, the projector was placed just above where I strike the ball and w/ the 2" of vertical offset, I always felt like the projector was in the way even though I never actually hit it. I'm planning to use the same distance from the hitting mat to the screen, but I would really like to get the projector completely out of the way. With the 12" ceiling height, I'm now able to use other projectors with more vertical offset (e.g. Optoma GT1080HDR). Ideally, I like to mount the projector as close to the ceiling as possible (or on the side) without sacrificing picture quality. I really like the picture of the TH671ST, but I need to get it out of the way. I'm not exactly how to determine if a new projector will cast a shadow. Ideally, I'd like to put the projector in the back of the shed. Using the GT1080HDR, I would mount the projector 5' 11" from the screen (~2 feet in front of where I hit) and the projector would sit ~102" off the ground (or 3' 4" from the ceiling). I guess this would work, but would def need to order a longer mount!

I have the BenQ ht2150st placed 7'-8' from my screen (7x14' roughly). I've never had an issue with it, the picture is bright and clear even with a lot of ambient lighting, and I can make the picture bigger or smaller than my screen.

I believe BenQ has a calculator on their website that might be helpful for you.

Have a similar setup. My shed is not as wide (only 12') so my screen is only 9 1/2 x 8 1/2. So I have to do 4:3 aspect ratio. The calculator that was mentioned said to place the project 12' from the screen but it seem you have it much closer than that and it works okay. Just wanted to know if 9 to 10 feet would work okay based on my screen dimensions.
Also, do you have it mounted on the ceiling?

Use the throw calculator at https://www.projectorcentral.com/pro...ulator-pro.cfm to find the lens to screen distance for the HEIGHT of your projected image. That's where you mount it. Then, assuming you have a PC with a good graphics card, you can fine-tune the WIDTH of the image to match the aspect ratio of your screen (filling it). No need to stick with the standard aspect ratios of 16:9 or 4:3 (assuming again that you have a good projector - this always works with BenQ models - and a good graphics card - always works with Nvidia cards).
