I’m debating between the BenQ LU935st and the LK936st. I have tons of room in my sim. 10’ high ceiling, 19.5’ wide and 24’ deep. I don’t know which of these 2 I should get. I’m also somewhat concerned with the distance to screen. I’m hearing that I would mount 13-14’ from screen but the center of my hitting area is 12-13’. Would that be a problem at all?
GungHoGolf or a98cr125 (or anyone else that has this projector) do you have any thoughts on the built-in speaker on the 953ST? I saw a98cr125 youtube review of this projector and it seemed to indicate the speaker was decent. I am trying to determine if I need a soundbar or something else for the simulator-related sound effects, announcers etc. I won't be using it for movies or anything like that, just the golf sim.

It's a decent speaker - plenty loud, just not super high-fidelity.

Use the throw calculator at https://www.projectorcentral.com/Ben...ulator-pro.htm. The projector lens to screen distance should be determined based on your image height. Since both of those projectors have optical zoom, you will have a 1-2 ft range in which it will work - towards the shorter end is best (but not all the way zoomed out). Once positioned for image height, you can adjust the horizontal pixel count in Windows to perfectly match your screen's width (no need to be concerned about sticking to a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio).
