Hello everyone.
My home build is coming together. Here are my last decisions:
Originally, I was considering the BenQ TH671ST based on feedback here. The projector central calculator says the max throw distance for my screen size is 11' 2" which would put it a bit in front of the hitting zone. Is that going to be a problem?
Because the hitting zone is offset, do I need to limit my search to projectors with horizontal keystone or lens shift?
I could ground mount the projector but those options seem really bulky and seem like they'd get in the way.
Any other thoughts, feedback, suggestions or options I am not considering? How do I go about making this crucial decision?
My home build is coming together. Here are my last decisions:
- Where to place the projector
- What projector and mounting mechanism to purchase.
- Cieling height is approx 105". Vertical clearance is a concern if the projector is mounted on the cieling. I am not sure how it will feel if I place the projector directly above the hitting zone. I plan on taping a cardboard box to the ceiling to get a feel.
- Hitting zone is ~6" to the right of center. I could get closer to center but I would need to relocate my putting green.
- Using Carl's DIY enclosure 8 x 10.5 with about 12 feet between the screen and the hitting zone.
