How does a short throw 1080p projector picture look on a 8x12 screen from only 7ft away? Screen door effect?

Don't think you should be concerned about the individual pixels with 1080p. Remember that you are likely going to be viewing from farther away.

I have a short throw XGA projector (1024 x 768) and I can see the "screen door effect" when I move up close to the screen, but it isn't noticeable when in use as a golf sim.

BTW short throw or regular projector, the pixel density and size does not change for any given screen size, for the same projector resolution.

Are you planning to hit from 7 feet?
