Working on simulation room room is 16 x 24 done with netting and projection screen, partopro HQ screen done is 1160 x 98inch everything worked out perfect on that . Flightscope and E6 are what I am going with already. Ordered a Optoma W316ST said to cover a 98 inch by 156 screen at 6 ft 9 inch mount, 3400 lumens, 20000 to 1 contrast just setting it up temporary now projector doesn't seem to be the ticket alot of wash out assuming because room is to light going to test tonight when sun goes down. Everyone said on site test projector before mounting glad I did suggestions would be awesome . Willing spend couple extra bucks on righ t projector

Don't expect to be using a projector in a fully lit room and be seeing a super bright sharp image on the screen.

Do you have curtains? Light control is a must.

My sim room is pitch black (garage) and it makes for the best image. I can get away with a crappy 16:10, 800p projector I picked up for $275.

Definitely look into controlling your light.

Agreed controlling the light is very important. If you can't, there are some brighter projectors out there but they cost over $2k. Sorry out of town and don't have my computer with me to make a suggestion at this time. I remember a guy reviewing an Epson on. YouTube once in a very bright room and the image looked good, but recall he had a long throw distance as well. You might want to try and find that video.
