  • Projector and Monitor

I have been researching and I cannot find a way to have both the projector and monitor run at the same time. When I plug in my projector, my monitor screen goes blank.

    Is this even possible?

Assuming you are running windows. Go to display settings in control panel and extend desktop to second display or duplicate desktop.

For Windows 7, with both plugged in at the same time, go to Control Panel - Display - Adjust Resolution. There is a drop down for Multiple displays. Select Duplicate these displays. I think there may be issues if they have different resolutions. My guess is you will have to use the lower resolution on both of them, but I could be wrong. I have two identical monitors and can have the same thing on both of them this way.

Are you using Windows? If so you have to tell it you have 2 monitors. Google it. Not sure if you want to have the same view on each device or you want to extend your screen to show 2 different programs running. If you want to try without google, right click anywhere on your desktop then click resolution. Should be able to get what you want from there.
