Has anyone purchased the new Benq 2150st? Opinions?

BenQ HT2150ST appears to be the replacement of HT1085ST. On paper, the HT2150ST is definitely an upgrade from the HT1085ST. I was going to get the HT1085ST until your posting of this PJ. Thanks for the heads up.

I ordered mine from BenQ ecommerce Sales 714 559-4926 Shane Johannessen, He knows his stuff and was very helpful. Mine comes in next week, I'll keep you posted.

Do you mind sharing the price?

I was set to buy a 1085 also and Shane gave me the best price, but the 2150 was at $930.00 which is a pretty big jump. In the end I wanted the latest model.

looking at the 1085 but saw they upgraded this model to the 2150 through this post if that's the case did the throw distance stay exactly the same as the other as this is not showing in the projector central calculator. just asking as I am thinking about having to upgrade my projector very soon.

Throw distance is the same for both 1085 & 2150. I think you should be good using the 1085 project central calculator for 2150.

I placed an order through Shane earlier today. He was very helpful, took time to answer all my questions. He attended a training session on the 2150 and noticed it is much brighter & the color is more vivid than the out going model 1085. The 2150 was designed specifically for gamers & home theater, he said.
