Environment Test App

Saw this on another forum and thought I would share.

Just need to download and install on a PC. Then follow the instructions on the webpage.

When I first ran it, it just had a blank screen, after it found interference, it started recording with a straight green line. I found just swinging a golf club would show a spike then nothing. When I took the Mevo+ to a different room where the fridge is, all kinds of interference was showing.

My unit has been working flawlessly but was curious if my projector (MW632ST) was keeping it from being the best it could be. Pointing the Mevo+ a few feet away from the projector through start up and while fan was running, it did not detect on the environment test app. I wont be adding wire mesh around it now.

Might want to give it a try if you are or are not having problems.

A really useful find, thank you. My test worked very similarly to yours... no interference (apart from the golf club when swinging) until i plugged a fan in and put it in front... then lots of movement on the graph. It gives peace of mind re: your set-up - recommend anyone doing (you'll need to connect mevo to a PC, FYI)

Hi! Thanks for posting this! I downloaded it and gave it a go. Pointed the MEVO plus at my projector and I was able to generate some yellow "NOISE" but don't normally see it where I have the Mevo plus situated. A couple of questions though...
1) I put a Metal chair in front of the Mevo just off to the right of it and it DIDn"T make any NOISE in the Environment app. Here's a picture. Any idea why? Does the interference have to be moving? I'm guessing No as many say their power block causes noise.
2) You'll also notice it's plugged in in the picture. No noise in the app at all either.

UPdate: I put my pressure washer directly in front of the Mevo and still no noise oddly. Then, I walked It across the field of view quite quickly and THAT got picked up. Very weird..... I'm guessing that the Noise comes from something moving then?

Pretty shocking that the cart is not picked up on the app. Maybe it is just out of the field of view. As for the plug, there are a lot of users that claim to be plugged in all the time with great results(as should be expected) so I would guess that your electricity supply is clean and your unit is functioning well.

I just downloaded the app on my PC, how do I run it?
TCP is selected
192.168.2.1 is showing
nothing happens when I select the drop down on the find device tab
